

Merging gestural mark-making with structured line-drawing dominates the overall composition. My studies in graphic design, typography, architecture, abstract constructivism, and pop art have shaped my aesthetic, thus far, in the majority of works to date. The forms are created through free association in addition, predetermined forms are used as the catalyst to develop the overall composition. Specifically, typography and architecture have directly influenced my artistic approach, aesthetic. He medically transitioned his gender at age 63 and is retiring from his full time job at the end of August 2023 to pursue his art, travel, filmmaking, LGBTQ+ trainings and promote legislation supporting LGBTQ+ justice and preserve and promote local Public, Educational and Government Community Media. For the last 22 years he has been a station manager for government and educational access cable TV channels in Putnam Valley, New York. He created his own video production company in 1982 for the purpose of making documentary films, TV commercials and industrial films as a DP/Cameraman and Video Editor. He studied film directing at Columbia University in New York City, and after that made his living as a union gaffer in the film business for 25 years. He visits Tibetan, Chinese and Thai monasteries and stupa in the US, and also likes to paint in Navajo and other Native American nations. Tony studied Physics and Astronomy as an undergrad at University of Arizona in Tucson in the 1970s, where he developed a love for desert landscapes has gone back to the Southwest for much of his Plein Air painting.
